Performance, quality and proven bloodlines headlined the Harrell Hereford Ranch 37th annual production sale and Harrell-Mackenzie Quarter Horses 18th performance prospect offering.   Staged at Harrell ranch headquarters, Baker City, Ore., Bob & Becky Harrell, Edna Harrell and Wannie & Beth Mackenzie and their families hosted a "sellout" crowd of cattlemen and horsemen that were at ringside and hooked via the internet and RFD TV from 16 states across the U.S.
                                                                                                                                                                              
This sale event of part of a big three-day Western Ranchers' Weekend in Baker City that included the Harrell-Mackenzie Performance Quarter Horse preview at Mackenzie Ranch, the Harrell Hereford and Harrell-Mackenzie horse sale, the 8th annual Cowboy Gathering at the historic Geiser Grand Hotel and concluded with the Thomas Angus Ranch spring production sale.

     Harrell Hereford Ranch is a commercial beef industry driven seedstock breeder program focused upon functional, problem-free beef cattle, genomically proven, hi-accuracy sires, balanced traits from cowherd to carcass, the Northwest's #1 Hereford maternal cowherd and full customer service.  They presented a powerful offering of balanced, complete, beef bulls and first class, registered and commercial Harrell "herd builder" replacement heifers.

The Harrell-Mackenzie Quarter Horses were outstanding...2016 started two-year-old prospects.  Featuring the blood of AQHA Superhorse Mr Baron Red, NFR sire Sun Frost and World's Greatest Horseman Champion Paid By Chic, these programs have produced horses proven to excel in youth, amateur and professional roping, barrel racing and cowhorse arenas.

Ranchers, breeders, horsemen and arena competitors from across the country competed to invest in the quality and proven genetics that have become the trademark of the Harrell Hereford and Harrell-Mackenzie Quarter Horse brands.  A highly successful event recorded another outstanding Hereford sale and witnessed one of the very elite Quarter Horse performance prospect auctions in the entire country.
