The Harrell family presented their 31st Spring Bull Roundup sale at ranch headquarters located at the base of the Blue Mountain Range out of Baker City, Ore. Teaming with Mackenzie Ranch for the 12th Harrell-Mackenzie Quarter Horse production sale, they staged a western ranchers' event that showcased breeding bulls, replacement heifers and standout performance horse prospects to a nine-state, capacity crowd of cattlemen and horsemen from across the West.
Backed by the Northwest's #1 maternal cowherd and proven, hi-accuracy sires, Harrell's commercial ranchers' breeding philosophy is focused upon cowherd efficiency and efficiency, problem-free cattle, balanced traits and carcass value. H5 Hereford genetics are tested and proven through Harrell's commercial cowherd, Country Natural Beef and the Harrell-Thomas Angus-Beef Northwest "Northwest Premium Genetics Partnership" customer premium marketing program.
A fast paced auction saw ranchers and breeders compete to invest in the performance, quality, cowherd power and proven genetics that trademarked a powerful, volume bull offering and high maternal set of replacement heifers. The final sale tally stands as testimony to the reputation of the Harrell cowherd, the total performance spectrum of their breeding program and the respect this Hereford operation holds among reputation cattlemen across the country.
